Dang folks kyle does a great job on this place he work hard on it and you all want to run him down cause of a little minor glich. Trust me he does care about this place and when the new stuff come in you'll be eating your words.
Also if we all chipped in a little to help out kyle he would be able to upgrade faster.

I think a little down time is good for everybody.

Kyle IS a great guy, for starting this place. No one is "running him down."

It's time he let this place "out of the nest" though. Time to move on....for us, and for him, maybe....if his passion and wealth lies elsewhere.

I keep hearing that it is NOT a money issue but rather a time issue. I have no problem chipping in a little to help out if it is needed.

It's simply not as much "fun" as it use to be....nothing "wrong," just wondering about can't it "be better?" I say, an emphatic...."probably." :)

I hear a lot of pining from originals about the days of yore, and I wonder if it is b/c those days were truly better, or just the constant desire to angelicize nostalgia.

people have chipped in here at least a couple times in the past. I have added more advertising to the new version that would help bring in a bit more money for him, and we have had offers from outside advertisers. I also offered to set up an Chiefs store where he would get a share of the profits and actually have to do nothing. None of that changed anything.

From what he said it sounded like he had the upgraded hardware ready, I'd be excited to get on it and see if it could handle the load. I'm sure he plans to wait till after the SB though. I don't think any of the site admin's have heard anything about it though.

Seems like I remember a thread with people asking him to go ahead and upgrade before the playoff game but he didn't want to for fear of it going haywire and we would have had no place to post then. I would have been ok with the risk though.

Exactly. So what if people have come and gone. That is always going to happen. This place is every bit as fun today as the first day that I lurked.
