I'm curious to see what other players have been traded for a 7th rounder and how they stack up to Green.

So do I, especially considering Trent could very well be Miami's starter. The Dolphins gave up a 2nd rounder for AJ Feeley a few years ago, and now Trent Green is being talked about for a 7th round pick?

I consider it highly dubious.

if Green is willing to restructure for a chance to start with another team i think his value IS worth a 2nd rounder.

he is a proven starter who has thrown for multiple 4,000+ seasons and has been to multiple pro bowls. He is a high character guy who puts the team first with great intangibles.

he is an ideal 2nd tier type QB

the only downside is his age and that is minimized a bit by the fact that he didn't start for several years at the beginning of his career so his "football age" is much less.

That's why I think he is his own worst enemy for warpaint. Scout.com is a joke because of their premium payment policys. But they have some good people at warpaint that want to try to be sucessful sourse of news and cover some different things that no one else does. As a KC fan I like that and hope they can achieve some of that. Nick ruins that by putting himself out in the public eye and acts like he has the pulse of the team while looking like a damn fool that no one respects. Best thing he could do with that site is keep his publisher role and stay away from the writing. He makes that site look stoopid.

Or is it safe to assume it will be anywhere from the 2nd to 7th rds?

Also, when will it happen?

Anywhere from now until the draft? ROFL

Nah. There are people at Arrowhead Nick talks to. There's been fantastic info on the premium board this offseason. I knew about the Wesley trade rumors LAST WEEK.

booger 03-22-2007 05:49 PM

yeah but how much of his fantastic info has came true? Or is likely to come true?

I don't know about a 2nd, given his age and the way he finished last season, but a 7th does seem low.

When Green heard the Chiefs were trying to trade him, he threw a fit.
It fell incomplete.
