He always had a handful of plays like that every year.

That interception he had in Denver last year was brilliant. I thought the whole defense stepped up their intensity and I thought it brought Wesley back to life.

Then zammo. God knows what it takes to get his heart into something.

Yes. But on the one hand nobody else on the team was able to get a hand on a QB that was running a 5.8 40.

Hootie 03-22-2007 04:13 PM

Yeah...I think Wesley gets a bad rap around here. He wasn't great, but he was a solid player who gave us some good years.

Mr. Laz 03-22-2007 04:14 PM

might be able to get something for him .... his numbers make him look better than he is. imo.

Hootie 03-22-2007 04:15 PM

like Trent Green, the Chiefs don't have any leverage with Wesley.

If we got two 6th's for Wesley and Green A+++ for Carl.

completely ridiculous

I, for one, will not shed one tear when Wesley's gone. Let these young guys take their lumps.

Heh, we have a poster named percysnow.

If we do better than a 6th for Green I'll be shocked...and I'll laugh at the other team.

Look at this unathletic safety...

I'm glad you put that pic up there because that is actualy an example of a play I had in my head that showed his lack of speed and quickness. He had all day to make a play on that ball and it should've been picked off but he didn't get there in time.

If he were truly that athletic do you really think the defensive staff would even be entertaining the thought of bulking him up and moving him to linebacker?

But no more argument from me. We'll find out next year.

I think you may be confusing Pollard and Page. The rumor was that Pollard was going to be moved to OLB.

Direckshun 03-22-2007 06:50 PM

I think he may be confusing his ass with a hole in the ground.

unothadeal 03-22-2007 06:51 PM

Page has shown himself to be a solid 7th round pick. Hell, if I didn't know any better I'd say he was a first day pick. But he has some growing to do (Not trying to tackle with his shoulder, i.e. Jaguar and Steeler game) and I thought Sammy could have mentored him into a good safety (There's no question Knight was good in his prime so he knows what he's talking about). If it were a choice between Wesley and Knight I would have cut Wesley. It looks like it's going to be both though. I'm happy that Page and Pollard are starting next year...apparently...but on the other hand I'm a little worried that they might get rushed into the game.
