Damn dude. Them's some bad angles.

Pollard is still right now the exact same guy he was on a draft day.

A safety who goes for big hits and whifs...is slow in coverage and isn't smart enough to get in the proper positions to make up for his lack of speed.

Here's my question. Since he's "allegedly" slow for a safety, would his speed be more benefitial as a rush backer?

Probably not because you'd have to put 35lbs on him ....right now he is not remotely bigger enough for that.

Rush backers are 250+

Pollard should be playing McGraw's role.

And if you guys watched the whole game, DaJuan Morgan had a very nice second half. He came down in the box and did what safeties are supposed to do.

Pretty much, Pollard should be the backup special teams guy who never actually plays defensive downs.

I hope to god McGraw doesn't make the team.

Yea I didn't like the Pollard pick.

Mecca 09-01-2009 09:11 PM

Seriously if they can find anyone else to start and put Pollard in the backup role that would be great.

That hit on Moreno though, that's the same shit a lot of talented college guys do with the "lower the shoulder"-trip. Then they get to the NFL and try that on a pro RB, and they get knocked back a step just like Flowers did against Atlanta last year when Thomas was being dragged down the field.

I love Pollard! He's good. In fact, he is so good that he determined the starting quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. Lets face the facts, if Pollard never injured Brady we would have never had Cassel.

Now, with that being said, the Chiefs should get him back to what he was doing best, blocking punts.

If Cassel sucks...that's another strike.

He'll be fine. I think If Cassel has the protection, he'll succeed. i expect him to get some lumps this year, unless the Chiefs improve their Oline. I could see them doing that in the off-season.
