At least it took 75 posts to get the offensive line excuse.

Don't even go there. Rodgers look like a HOFer compared to Cassel, and Rodgers may have had a worse O-line.

327-516 (63.4%) for 3693 yards yards (7.2), 21 TD and 11 INT

If completing 8.5% more of his passes for 750 more yards at an additional 1.3 yard/attempt for 5 more TD and 5 fewer INT is "only marginally better" then I think there's a lot of people who'd've been a bit happier if he had been only marginally better in 2009, and who'd probably be fairly happy if he were only marginally better in 2010.

You missed the whole on passes over 10 yards part?

Chiefnj2 01-11-2010 08:53 PM

Where can one find the stats based on length of throw?

Mecca 01-11-2010 08:54 PM

Ask BossChief he posted them.

soundmind 01-11-2010 08:56 PM

Is it impossible to get coach tape on the games? Any reason that stuff is so guarded when it has to be made available to the other teams?

Are you needing to see the 26 yard hail mary from different angles to see just who was at fault? ;)

The crossbar. Ruled a drop.

2-20 on passes over 30 yards.

62/154 for a 40% completion percentage.

20% of his passing yardage came from passes originating from behind the LOS.

70% of his passing yardage came from passes thrown 10 yards or less.

Those stats brought to you by BossChief and OTW.

Matt Cassel would have to

a. become a hell of a lot better on the deep ball and
b. be more accurate, in general

Of course, neither of those things will happen so I guess I'll settle for sucking enough that all future hope is cast aside and we (finally!) draft a legit QB prospect.

Jamaal Charles & Chet Haley...

Thats why.

I was wondering what Cassel ratio of under center vs shotgun is. to me it seemed like he was under center more late in the season. To me that's part of his learning experience. More reps under center. It might have just been due to the emergance of Charles.
