What's even more interesing is the winner will have to face Velasquez or Dos Santos. I like Carwin in this fight though.

Cain Velasquez will get the next Title shot. Dana's pretty much already said that.

I'm just trying to figure out your logic here, Carwin's win over Mir is meaningless, yet Lesnar's win over Mir shows......what?

Lesnar laying on top of Carwin is quite funny. Couture had no problem standing up from Brock being on top over and over again. And Carwin has a great wrestling back ground as well. This one won't get out of the first unless Lesnar simply does some lay n pray.

You act like my reply was blowing you off and totally disagreeing with yours :spock: I think you are underrating Lesnar and that is fine. I am sure you can get all the action you want taking Carwin in a first round knock out. I am sure you could get book with great odds for as much as you can afford. That said I am not a fan of Lesnar or Carwin and I would take a pass on any serious action. I might take some light action against the first round knockout by Carwin :)

If Lesnar had been fighting my take would be different (maybe). I think Lesnar having a year off hurts him a lot.

Lesnar has poor stand up skills. He has relied exclusively on his ability to "bully" guys because of his size. Well he won't be able to do that with Carwin in all likelihood. I also think that Carwin probably knows that Lesnar is going to want to take this to the ground and will force him to stand. Or at least, that will be his game plan.

I don't totally count out Lesnar at all. He has freaky skills for a guy his size. However when you factor in the ring rust, the fact that he's fighting a guy his size that hits like a mac truck and has excellent stand up, well that's a lot going against him. I think Brock even without the ring rust would be looking at his toughest fight ever. Throw in the above factors and I can't see how he would really be favored (but I think he will be because of "name").

If you read through this thread I have said pretty much the same thing. I am however picking Lesnar because of speed and his ability to bulldog opponents. I would not put any real money on it, A. because I really do not know, B. I really do not care~

No I read it but what I am saying is, his ability to "bulldog" guys is because the size difference has been so dramatic. Now he's fighting a guy that is near his own size so I think that won't play a part.

I care enough to watch, that's for sure.

It would not surprise me a bit to see Brock get the takedown, control and pound Carwin out.

But, Lesnar needs to be put in his place a bit, IMO. It shouldn't be this easy... for anyone.

It's not like the guy wouldn't bounce back. A lot of fighters do, after truly being beaten for the first time. (Lesnar considers the loss to Mir a fluke.)

I wanna see him get KTFO... and see how he responds.

You seem to be an asshole but I'll say Lesnar does brings Carwin to the ground and beats the shit out of him. I actually like both fighters, but you are an asshole so I pick Lesnar.

In Strikeforce, since they're so small, just like Affliction, are pretty much basing most of their programming off of Fedor, whom by the way pretty much gets to fight on his terms and nothing else but his terms.

Put it this way, I've heard Lesnar say many times that he'd love to fight Fedor. Not once have I heard Fedor say that he would love to fight Lesnar. Because he doesn't. He knows he's much smaller and much weaker. In a cage, Brock would smother him up against the cage wall and control the fight.

Fedor, nor his bullshit M1 Global company want to see "The Greatest MMA HW Fighter in the World" lable to get taken away although that lable is fading away as he chooses to stay in Strikeforce. The russians want to protect his image.

ROFL, so the best fighter shouldnt be able to fight on his terms? and the UFC wanted to lock him up for 6 fights. i'm pretty sure he would do a 1 or 2 fight deal.

BUT that would have him going back to russia with the UFC championship belt

This.

Fedor would crush Lesnar.

Brown Pride will lose that fight regardless of whom he is up against. Dos Santos is something else entirely. I'm seriously impressed by him.
