You want accountability. I'm great with that. Absolutely.

It's not that I'm ok with Billy ****ing up. I'm not. But he's not a ML first baseman, so comparing him to others is misguided, IMO. And he has zero baseball instincts. He doesn't really understand the game. Therefore, it's not surprising that he generally doesn't know what to do in any given situation.

Should he still be held accountable for his **** up(s)? Of course. Totally. Just don't expect him to change.
