Are you sure? Brass brought in Jones who has gotten the lions share of the carries. And they also spent a high 2nd round pick on McCluster. And when McCluster is in the game, we are seeing him at RB... which is where he was a game breaker at Ole Miss... and not at slot receiver where we all thought we were going to see him. Do you really think the brass wants to keep their expensive shiny new toy in storage?

There's a lot of wisdom in it, actually. When I look back to my time here, the threads I started inevitably were "fail" until I learned a little bit more about how this place runs.

What I don't understand is how this is a blatent misuse of Charles.

It's 2 games into the season. He's received over 10 touches each game. The team is 2-0. Thomas Jones is also a pretty good back, not Charles, but pretty good. It's not like Jackie Battle is getting carries over JC.

It's not some conspiracy to keep Charles out of the game. There's no vendetta like some want to proclaim.

If he's really worried about his carries when the team is winning games, then maybe the benching as an educational tool (which I don't actually think is happening) might not be the wrong move. I've always been lead to believe that that was part of the reason DJ had to sit, to motivate him to learn to play within the scheme and stop going into business for himself and that's exactly the same message they've worked so hard to get across to Bowe over the last year, with the "stats only matter if you're winning" conversation.

And I've never actually heard Charles say anything that makes me think he's not a team player above all else.
