It's nice that someone WANTS to be our head coach and it would provide some continuity on the defensive side of the ball.
I'm just afraid it would provide continuity on the offensive side of the ball too. :( |

The level of suck this franchise has reached suggests it's BOTH of their faults. |
Would you let Romeo coach if he dumped Cassel?

Offensive/Defensive Schemes: Crennel will continue to call the defensive plays while Bill Muir and Jim Zorn will work together on developing an offensive game plan.
“I think the best way for us to have a chance to be the most successful at this moment is to not create too many distractions,” Crennel said. “Me being named the head coach is a distraction. So, I don’t want to have a distraction on offense, a distraction on defense and a distraction on the whole team.” Crennel went on to say that he’d take a different approach going forward if permanently named the head coach, but wanted to keep as much consistency as he could over the final three games of the season.” this scares the hell outta me at least I don't know any GB fans |

If they stick with Cassel we'll have a total house cleaning after two more years. Then we get to see if Clark can hire a GM. |

What's scary about that? No need to go try to install some new offense with three games left in the season, and Romeo has been calling the defensive plays all season. I'm fairly confident Bill Muir will not be calling plays next season, regardless of the head coach decision. |
No thanks.

Haley was the one who determined that he couldn't work with Gailey and canned him. Haley always talks about his closeness with Mo Carthon. Haley is the one who didn't like the job his first WR coach was doing, so he demoted him midseason and replaced him with Ritchie Anderson. Haley is the one who brought in Mike Clark to run the weight program. I think Haley had a lot of latitude in terms of who he wanted to keep and who he didn't.
Of course Haley also doesn't strike me as a guy who has a huge connection of friends in the coaching business outside of the Parcells tree, so it's debatable how many coaches actually wanted to work for him. That to me was my biggest issue with Haley... |
