Sonnen is stupid trying for trickery with that elbow. You cant do that shit when your fighting the best of the best at his craft. Just like Arlovsky tried against Fedor. Arlovsky was winning, then did something stupid and paid for it immediately.

No he didn't. He got out struck 3 to 1 in the fight. He had a few good takedowns and a little G & P. It's was close, but not way did he get ****ed.

Why? Because the main event didn't go the distance like last time? That was pretty much expected in this fight. There was so much hatred in this fight....Sonnen was fighting with pure hatred. I dunno if that got in the way of his game plan because that spinning back fist against one of the best duck/dodgers and elusive guys in the game was NOT a good idea. As soon as he fell he had the "oh ****" look on his face LOL.

Silva hasn't had a fight go the distance in 8 years. Buying this PPV expecting something different would have been pretty stupid. Not every PPV will have a Hendo/Rua or Forrest/Bonner fight on it. I buy every PPV and some I feel like I get my money's worth on and some I don't. This one I did as I got pretty much what I expected. Although I don't know what the hell Cody McKenzie is doing on a PPV.

Meh, good fights. About what I expected- I just never believed Sonnen had what it took to straight up beat Silva.

And I know I'm not changing anyone's opinion, but I used to think Ortiz was THE biggest jackass in the sport. Just a no-class, sh*t-talking punk. And then I got to hang out with him for a weekend. He could not have been more humble, and signed thousands of autographs and took hundreds of pics with people. He flew out on his own dime, and rolled with our Soldiers for about 3 hours one morning during combatives training. Can't count how many tabs he picked up anonymously of Soldiers eating in the food court as well.

So, having met the guy and spent the better part of two days with him- he completely changed my opinion. Past his prime, and yeah- the whole Jenna Jameson thing makes you shake your head, but he's actually a good dude.

I always thought Shamrock was the bigger douche in that feud.
