It's a pretty short list:
Sally Ride Guy Bluford (another astronaut) Robert Bly Stevie Ray (wrestler, brother of Booker T)--biggest hands I've EVER seen...would NOT want to get hit by him for any reason Bob Dole (the real one) Rev. Basil Pennington, OCSO (late Trappist priest and author) John Cardinal O'Connor -- extremely nice, humble man Rev. Benedict Groeschel -- not as nice as you'd think John McClain -- Houston sports writer and sports radio personality Jerome Solomon-- Houston sports writer I've met the mascots for every Houston Sports team: Toro (Texans) -- nice, nerdy, guy outside of the costume--had great things to say about KC Wolf -- got distracted by the Texans cheerleaders with him---they changed in my office! Junction Jack -- Astro's mascot Clutch: Rockets mascot Diesel: Houston Dynamo mascot --I was the opening manager for a Houston Public Library branch named after a popular sports writer so we had all the team mascots there for the opening. I wish I could find it, but someone got a picture of all the mascots playing the Wii (before we opened to the public). The funniest part: when someone walked up with a camera, Junction Jack told them not to take a picture until he put his costume hands back on! |

Bono held the door open for me once. I said thanks, he said you're welcome. Does that count?
I had dinner with Corey Feldman and his family in Santa Monica. I'm still decent friends with Ed Asner. Incredible at his craft, and an even better human being. Talked with Sam Brownback a bit. I've met quite a few KS politicians, as it were. That's about it. I've seen way more famous people in person than I've met, of course. Ate a few tables away from Cameron Diaz and an Olsen twin at the same lunch. That was odd. |

I used to go directly from work to the gym, then grab dinner on the way home. Did it for years, especially since there were great places on that corner (Bristol Farms, Baja Fresh, etc.). I always called in my order because these places were always jammed packed. One night, I'm in line for pick up at Baja Fresh (LOVE their Baja Chicken salad). EVERYONE in the ****ing place is staring at ME. I'm dripping in sweat, fully disgusting, with a skullcap that's soaked as well. After about 3 minutes, I begin looking around. Why is everyone staring at ME? I finally turn around and see Cameron Diaz directly behind me in line. Me: I am so sorry! I'm soaking wet and stink from my workout. Cameron: No worries! You should smell ME after I workout! |
Are you still on the same street with Eva Longoria and Michelle Forbes?
