Poor buddy.. he's all butthurt because the rules say writing for a website doesn't count as real journalism. He should have stuck at a newspaper. If they keep going out of business the competition should get pretty weak and he might just have a chance.

ROFL

"Tuesday, I found out it will never happen. My career goal of winning the Pulitzer Prize for commentary and etching my name alongside the greatest newspaper columnist in history is an impossibility. I’m ineligible because I work for FOXSports.com. "

That's it. That's ****ing it.

ROFL

"For me, the Pulitzer rejection was the equivalent of Ravens safety Ed Reed showing up in New Orleans for Super Bowl week and finding out on Media Day the league suspended him from playing. "

Overall I am I Whitlock fan but I have never read anything Pulitzer worthy from him. LOL. At least his self image is intact.

I disagree with most of his takes but he'll always have a soft spot in my blackened heart after that...

Jason helped propel us to National attention. I'm not going to sit here and shit all over his dreams. He helped us achieve ours. Thanks Jason. Keep chasing the brass ring.

He might not win a Pulitzer, but I like his chances on Man vs. Food.

Rain Man 02-07-2013 11:52 AM

Maybe since he helped out the SoC movement, Chiefsplanet can award him a CPlitzer. It's almost the same thing.

And aren't Pulitzers as common as snowflakes these days? Those and Emmy Awards have diluted their brands badly in my mind due to sheer numbers of awards. I think half the newscasters on our local news stations have fistfuls of Emmy Awards. They're like the German Mark in 1923.

About as worthless as I imagined it would be.

Pretty much.

It's a shame...

tooge 02-07-2013 12:54 PM

Jason, you are an intriguing writer. You've not written any Pulitzer Prize winning articles however.

Pooping in the middle of a Whitlock thread is racist
