Next year... who ya got? AJ or Dwayne? |
AJ Green because he will get more of the share if his teams targets than Bowe will. Reid spreads the ball around to too many receivers to have any one of them have a monster year. T.O. in 2004 was the exception. If he runs the vertical routes and can get separation, and the QB can lead him, look out. Otherwise it's slants and zoom routes.

Ill take the guy who doesnt have alex smith at QB

there was really no argument needed
AJ Green >>>>> Dwayne Bowe and that's not bashing BOwe |

Its funny an Eagles fan brings this up here. One of my good friend's is an Eagles fan and has been arguing that DeSean Jackson is better than Dwayne Bowe. Of all people, DeSean ****ing Jackson. He even thinks he's gotten the better of me because every time we have the argument, he turns to everyone in the room and they all agree with him. ****ing reeruns. That dude sucks. Just tell him to run straight every play; that's all he good for..
He also argues LeSean McCoy is better than Jamaal Charles. You can't make this shit up, folks. Anyway, I think Hootie hit this one on the head. Based off of production over the last few years (with last year being weighted most heavily), taking QB play into account, and future potential, there are three guys that go in tier 1 for sure: Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, and Andre Johnson. I'd probably throw AJ Green and Julio Jones in there on a generous day. I might be inclined to throw Brandon Marshall in there if I just got laid or something. You could throw a ton of guys in tier 2. Off the top of my head: Dwayne Bowe, Roddy White, Demaryious Thomas, Michael Crabtree, Vincent Jackson, Marques Colston, Wes Welker, Miles Austin, Dez Bryant. I don't even care to name anymore. You give me a choice between any one of these guys in a pick-up game, it would be tough to make. |

So, 1 season with 65 catches and another with 96 is elite? 2 seasons? Bowe caught 70 his rookie season, then followed it up with 86. What is that? I love Bowe, but I do not think he is elite. Green could very well become elite, but I'd, at least, give him a few more seasons. |
Top 2 are crystal clear. You could maybe argue for a couple more. After about top 4, it gets pretty muddy.
A lot of good receivers in the league right now. Bowe is definitely a talent, and arguably hasn't been able to reach his pinnacle due to his QBs. You want to call him 10th or 14th? Whatever. It's a pretty subjective topic. |

so now it's about stats with Dave?
what? Watch AJ Green and then watch Dwayne Bowe and then report back to me. I'm fairly certain Dave doesn't actually watch football...and if he does, it's Chiefs only. |
AJ Green has HALL OF FAME ELITE talent.
Dwayne Bowe is good, not that good. Not close. I like Bowe, too. |

And I never said Bowe was better than Green. He's incomplete at this point. It's absolutely reeruned to call a 2nd year player elite. If he plays at last season's level for a few more seasons, sure. |
