I'm not a big McDonald's fan, but their new Habanero Ranch 1/4 pounder is really pretty good. Better than the Big Mac I think. The sauce even (really I think that's what makes all the difference as I don't especially like their others, it might also be the white cheddar cheese slice that helps), unless you really can't stand the kick. Its also in some ways healthier (a lot more protein for just ~100 more calories, both have too much sodium and the fat and stuff is high but not too bad). Problem is its expensive compared to the Big Mac. But its about the only burger other than the Big Mac that I could eat from McDonald's without fries (so that saves that calorie/sodium sink there).

I don't give a shit about the bun too much, all their buns suck, even the fancier ones on the Bic Mac and the special 1/4 pounders. Wish they'd just do something to make all of their buns better, maybe leave some cheap shitty ones for the dirt cheap stuff but offer an upsell to a nice multi-grain or something bun for like $1 or so. |

It used to be ok in the early 1990's |
BK, Wendys and Winsteads FTW.
I absolutely can't stand the taste of McDonald's burgers. Taste, or whatever the hell they call it. I like their Chicken sammiches however. |
Winsteads is ****in awesome. Burgers and shakes (esp their shakes) are great.
I used to love Big Macs as a kid. Now the only time I go to mcds is for coffee in the morning because it's quick and right across from my work. |
The calcification of the fan base continues...

McDonald’s and the Kansas City Chiefs are on the same team this season. McDonald’s offers super-size Blitz Box and Fry Truck for Chiefs fans Kansas City and St. Joseph McDonald’s restaurants have signed a year-long partnership with the Kansas City Chiefs. So the Chiefs will be in the company’s area print, TV, radio and outdoor advertising. McDonald’s area customers also will be the first in the country to try a new super-size meal and McDonald’s fry truck. The McDonald's Chiefs 2013 partnership includes: • McDonald’s Fry Truck: The new McDonald's Fry Truck — the only one in the country — will set up in the Chiefs parking lot at home games so fans can purchase freshly prepared french fries. • Blitz Box: Created specifically for Chiefs games, the Blitz Box is described as a super-sized Happy Meal and features two Quarter Pounders with cheese, two medium fries and a 20-piece serving of Chicken McNuggets, all for $14.99. A portion of the proceeds from each box will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City. • Big Mac for Snacks: When the Chiefs record a sack in any regular season home or away game, McDonald’s customers can pick up a free Big Mac with the purchase of a regular priced one the next day at any of the Kansas City and St. Joseph restaurants. McDonald's and the Chiefs also will host eight PLAY 60 events throughout the city. NFL PLAY 60 is the National Football League's campaign to encourage kids to be active for 60 minutes a day in a fight against childhood obesity. McDonald’s is calling the new Chiefs tie-in a promotion instead of a test and couldn’t say if the promotion would be rolled out to other NFL teams.
