The NFL is not high school or even college sports. It's a work place. A different set of rules apply. I imagine this is a limited opportunity for(3-4 years) most to set themselves up for the rest of their lives.

I don't know how extreme Martin's "abuse" was. But its not hard to imagine how being constantly harrassed at your workplace could begin to break a person down.

It's entirely possible that Martin is being a big pussy. It's also not hard to imagine humans being inhuman.

That says to me a few things: 1) he must have been doing something above and beyond to be called out for it; 2) where the **** is the organization and coaching staff on this, that you have anonymous sources leaking guys' names to the media? Isn't the first reaction to downplay it or cover it up? Miami seems pretty upfront about telling "the whole story" and they've been quick to defend Martin. That's pretty unusual. There's definitely potential this is a lot worse, and both parties are agreeing to stick to a back story.
