Sure.

I said during the game 'we aren't really getting beat...we're beating ourselves and not beating them'.

and that seems to be about what happened.

Haha, don't even. Denver gets away with this shit more than any other, and it's all the NFL's priority to keep Peyton healthy. KC's offense is ranked 2nd most for holding. The refs only call shit on Denver when they game's already in hand.

RabbleRouser, did you say that Bowe is a good possession receiver? OMG, in order to be ANY type of receiver you have to CATCH THE BALL!!! He does not do this, EVER!!! He needs to go, I hope they cut him loose in the offseason.

Denver's O line formed a very tight pocket each time Manning passed the ball. They blocked well enough to allow Manning to throw in less than 2.5 seconds on most passes.

I can't remember Manning scrambling ONCE

Yes Chris, I agree. This really wasn't all doom and gloom. We'll be fine.

Release time, lack of blitzes, blah blah blah FLUFFY.....

It's that Manning is better than the Chiefs. He inspires people around him, I'm sure we'll hear lip service that Alex does too, but we all know better than that by now. Privately they're wishing he as gone too... If they don't feel that way they sure don't show it...

For the most part. Although there were a couple of blatant holding penalties that should have been called (remember that early LT wrapping arms around Hali's neck?). And there were a couple of crucial penalties (defensive holding on Bowe) in the 2nd half that should have been called that maybe would have made a bit of difference. But I don't think that is why the Chiefs lost. They lost because of too many mistakes. And Alex Smith looks like a fish out of water trying to run a Hail Mary or a 2 minute offense. :banghead:

Not sure I agree... While we did get some calls, but there were many that were selectively no-called.

But this is the NFL, it's a lot closer to the WWE than we think.

That being whined.....I'll say that Hali and Houston don't help their cause by being good soldiers and letting it ride. I know the officials like it, but I don't think that's proven to help things. So I'm done feeling sorry for them because they won't help themselves. I guess those weren't holds.

I meant, he COULD be a good possession receiver.

he's a good blocker.

I bet he rolls a nice blunt.

idk, this sucks...

I think at this point, it's time to concede that they are what they are. No magical scoring explosion starting in week 12.

The play calling seemed better in the 1st half, but they failed to execute on several opportunities. And that Sherman fumble will absolutely be on "Turning Point".

There's little to no improvisation with Alex and when the opportunities aren't met consistently, we're ****ed. Every possession and every positive yardage play has to count with this guy. Look how many times we went 3-out and look how many times Manning went 3-out. The difference in the end result is glaring.

I was really pissed about that push off myself, but then Bowe got by with one as well on his TD. I just marked it down as a makeup non-call.

To say that Manning is important to the NFL and the networks being healthy, would be an understatement, so the holding was not called against Denver on Hali, Houston and Poe.

I'm going to re-watch in a bit but from memory:

-didn't blitz with any kind of frequency

-no pressure from the 3tech (Bailey)

-Denver's quick game was effective in negating the rush but not overly effective

Scheme, play calling and personnel groupings can go a long way to improve the defense.

Yes. They blew up after they added Willie Roaf.

And they had some great performances before kennison and/or roaf even arrived.

Couldn't be much further from this year to date.
