I already denied this. Was I right to laugh in his face? i probably would've dropped Victorino and Joyce as well.

WTR trades Brian Dozier, Min 2B to TRUE
WTR trades James Shields, KC SP to TRUE
TRUE trades Jed Lowrie, Oak SS to WTR
TRUE trades Dayan Viciedo, CWS LF to WTR
TRUE trades Jesse Chavez, Oak RP to WTR
TRUE trades Joakim Soria, Tex RP to WTR

Depends if you need a closer or not. But I'd rather have Shields/Dozier/Victorino/Joyce.

Will what I lose with Cruz in homers and SLG and gain with Kinis and A Gonz be made up in OBP, runs, steals and RBI?

I don't need a closer. I've lost a couple weeks but I win that cat nearly every week. Chavez has been coming back to earth a bit as well.

What about the Cruz for Kipnis and Adrian Gonz trade?

Kipnis is top 2-3 2B, A Gone is pretty darn good himself. Cruz hits HR's like crazy, but he also gets nicks and bruises a lot. Give me Kipnis and A Gone.

I have Gyorko and Dozier though...

I just pulled off a minor heist. I picked up Alexei Ramirez via waivers when someone inexplicably cut him three weeks ago. Just traded him straight up for Shields.

Here is my team 7x7 league: R, HR, RBI, SB, TB, AVG, OBP; W, L, CG, SV, ERA, WHIP, K/9.

Here is my roster:

C: Montero
1B: Votto (DL), Hosmer
2B: Kendrick
SS: Bogaerts
3B: Zimmerman (DL), Chisenhall
OF: Puig
OF: Choo
OF: Holliday
Util: Taveras (OF)
B: Eaton (OF)
B: Lowrie (2B/SS)
B: Perez
Prospect: Javier Baez (SS)

SP: Sale
SP: Minor
RP: Papelbon
RP: Chisek
B: Bailey
B: Shields
B: Pomeranz

25 IP minimum every week. Ratios are more important, as if you have a few good starts you are almost guaranteed to win L, and the three ratio stats

How would you go about improving that team?

I'd dump a bench player (probably your spare catcher) and pick up an elite non-closer reliever, if there are any available. Will help with your ratio stats and probably vulture some wins, too.

Wait - can you only start 2 SP and 2 RP at a time?

Correct. It's been done in the past, but you also run the risk of losses and a bad outing can **** your ERA for the week.

You have the following slots: SP, SP, RP, P. You can find a RP who has starter status provided they have five starts in the last year or five relief appearances. It's not a league that lends itself to hording middle relief
