The Bears have swept the AFC west so far.

So I read on this site that having a franchise QB is all that matters. I also read here that Rivers is a franchise QB. So, does the team around the QB actually matter? Or is Rivers severely over rated on CP?

Rivers cannot take two sacks on that final drive. They were five yards out of FG range, which then turned into 20.

Would love for Fox to sweep and send ol' horseface home with a loss.

Dumb play calling in ignoring the run, and we all saw why Barksdale was unsigned as a FA for so long.....

Do you pay any attention? Damn near their entire team is injured.

They started 4 different LTs IN THE SAME GAME.

They've started 29 different offensive lineman over the past 5 seasons, which is the most in the league.

Rivers is basically working with a Skelton crew, patchwork offensive line of fatties off the street, and below average defenses year after year.. And they still tend to go 7-9 to 9-7. I'd say he's a ****ing miracle worker.

Chargers too distracted with moving plans.

Deal is one can argue that the Chargers have ****ed up worse than the Chiefs B/C they have had the HOF RB and TE and very good WR's and defense to go with said franchise QB and never reached their full potential. I think the thing we can take from that is even if you have it all, Marty will STILL KILL YOUR SUPER BOWL DREAMS.

They really have been on the decline the past 5 seasons, and have been decimated by injuries this season. The only reason they've managed to be average throughout is because of Rivers. A Franchise QB can keep you competitive by hiding weaknesses in most cases, but if the team relies on that as it's only consistent asset, over time it's not enough.

At this point i really feel bad for them. The amount of injuries over the past two seasons is insane. This season...i've never in all my years of watching football have seen anything like this.

They have so many injuries and every week another significant starter goes down. It's almost like a running gag at this point. It's unreal.

They're legitimately playing with 2nd-4th stringers all through out their roster.

Again, i've never seen anything like this in all my years of watching football. This has to be the worst string of bad luck injuries i've ever seen.

....and yet they're still competitive because of Rivers. Shows how much a franchise Qb matters.

Kinda funny that he's 3-0 vs the AFCW and those are his only wins... it's like he never left. That game in Denver in two weeks, I don't see the Bears getting the win, but who knows, anything can happen. They beat the Raiders by 2, Chiefs by 1 and Chargers by 3 - KC and SD wins on the road. Nice.
