The only player more overrated than Elway is Aikman. Smith would have won at least three super bowls with the denver teams - and lopsided referees - that Elway had.

I think Shanahan would love to have Alex Smith.

He can run the bootleg offense of Shanahan's and would only have to get more accurate while throwing on the run. Also durable and smart enough to stay healthy for the most part.
