So the king (authoritative) tortures someone (framed as a liberal/weak/hipster/effeminate) for bringing him an obscure, original gift...that is the subconscious message buried in this advertisement. "Dont try anything new...stick to our programming...stay with what you know"

Well, I've not seen one of these commercials, so they clearly aren't targeting ALL of the idiots. :-P

I've never seen them. I don't have cable, though.

Sometimes, the curtains are just blue. No special reason.

Just proves Budweiser has the best ad agency. Not the best beer.

I think the Dilly Dilly commercials are idiotic, and I view anyone entertained by them as sub-human, to a degree.

Some of y'all need a drink to kill the bug up yer ass!
Dilly dilly, mf'ers!!

Gravedigger 11-01-2017 07:33 AM

I think the first one was funny, mainly because I know that guy who would bring the other alcohol trying to impress and getting sent to the pit of misery.

Nzoner 11-01-2017 07:57 AM

My little brother who lives in Louisiana makes his own homemade mead so I probably find the commercial more amusing than others. That said I'm a beer snob as well with a marketing background, the ad is funny but no way does it make me want to buy their swill.

WhiteWhale 11-01-2017 08:54 AM

Yeah, well... I don't watch enough TV to know what these commercials are.

What I can tell you is if every type of alcohol except Budweiser brands vanished tomorrow, I'd never drink again.

Good people drink good beer.

I think we know what bad people do.

I'd definitely try the new Budweiser 1933 Prohibition Repeal if I ran into it at a get together/tailgate, even though the whole "we uncovered this original pre-Prohibition recipe" is all marketing. I've heard it speculated that it's similar to a Yuengling, so it'd be worth a try for me.
