Came home to see the Sleep 10k pressing of The Sciences waiting for me in the mail that I ordered from Third Man. I'll use that one to play while I take pics of my 1k press to post on social media. Just kidding, sort of.

I also have an old timer in my family sending me their collection of 45's in batches. Yesterday I got a bunch of Capitol box sets and Decca Records releases from the 1940-50's. Mostly mood/background music like Jackie Gleason - Music For PIIHB and Harry Owens - Songs Of Hawaii. Pretty excited to go through them this weekend.

I was back in KC last weekend and went to an impromptu Pamper the Madman show. They weren't my thing around KC at the time (mid-90's), but gat damn if they don't set it off live. They had that right mix of funk and 90s rock and Theresa is easily in the top 10 frontmen/women I've ever seen live. She's incredible, to this day. The youtube vids don't come close to doing them justice.

Nice!

I wound up with a sweet Patsy Cline repress from AP, it sounds AMAZING!

Different kind of mood. Plowing through Keane and Deathcab For Cutie again.

When I go to a concert, I usually buy a CD unless I have them all to put a little money in the band's pockets. Last night I went to see Brian Jonestown Massacre at the Record Bar but all they had on sale was vinyl. It's kind of funny that it's old fashioned now to prefer CDs.

Mini review: The band was great. Their rhythm section is really tight. Band leader (and out of shape mother****er) Anton Newcombe decided to skip one song toward the end of their playlist that I was really looking forward to, but that was a minor quibble in an otherwise fantastic show.

Right now I'm listening to BJM's latest release, Pol Pot's Pleasure Penthouse on youtube.

I'm seeing this rager tonight. Big fan of Power Trip but mostly stoked to see Red Death set it off.

Remember when TicketMaster was the debil?

I just tried buying tickets for a hardcore matinee show from eTix and there was a $10 service fee on a $26 ticket...for an afternoon punk show. LOL it came to $72 for 2 tickets...for an afternoon punk show. Easy pass for me.

GET OFF MY STOOP!!1
