Stay safe y'all.

It's the first time since 2014 we've had a high risk anywhere in Iowa. Lots of days of "risk level 4" but risk level 5 is rare for here. And then you add in the fact that there's another level 5 area to the south of us, yeah. It's a pretty crazy setup.

We just had our first tornado warning here about 30 minutes ago. Storm had a pretty defined and pronounced hook as it crossed from MO into IA but broke up pretty quickly. The cell is hanging on just above severe limits now. Everything is moving and cycling really fast. Cells are currently moving NE at over 50mph.

Wow. Tornado watch from Iowa down to Texas

We’re so dry here in north central OK. High winds blowing dust everywhere today. Definitely a bad time to be outside.

We got 21MPG to KC Wednesday. 16MPG on the way back last night.

No more tornado warnings as of right now. We're under a ST warning but really no wind. A lot of quarter-sized hail. Apparently they're getting baseball sized east of here.

Its sunny and raining...good day.

htismaqe 03-31-2023 03:12 PM

These storms picked up some serious energy as it passed just east of us. The line is now producing large, long-track tornadoes just to our southeast.

kepp 03-31-2023 03:20 PM

We had a couple episodes of hail, pea to marble size, in south CoMo. The second batch came while the sun was out. Pretty cool looking.

Large wedge tornado on the ground southwest of Iowa City.

When the tornado passed through Wellman it was more than a mile wide. The debris signature on radar almost looks like it's own formation and it extends for TWENTY miles from the core of the storm.
