Good news is that KSU can officially make Nebraska bowl ineligible next week.

And Illinois is about as up and down a team as you'll find out there right now. |
Quote:
And I think TT was a solid win. And Illinois gave MU a run for the $, but as nutjob said, they HAVE beaten two top 10 teams. |

Hmm... I have a big gray cat with white markings on his face kind of like the powercat logo. He slept all day and never twitched a whisker during K-State's loss. Wonder if it was his fault?

That was embarrassing for Nebraska. Super Tom Osbourne should coach the rest of the year.

a team isn't necessarily good based on 1 win, but the pverall performance. CU also beat OU. Are you saying OU isn't a quality team because CU beat them |

9-0, that is all I have to say besides go CU

And I brought up CU beating OU to show a parallel. It's annoying when someone doesn't follow the basic argument of the conversation. |

Illinois has played four ranked teams and beaten two of them, with one to go. That's a TOUGH schedule - far tougher than any of our ours. If they'd pussed out on their non-conference schedule (like a certain team from Lawrence), they'd be 7-2 right now and certainly ranked. |
Iowa State finally gets a win!! Yeah!!!!
|
MU is still gonna beat the piss out of the Jayhawks at Arrowhead.
|
Unlike some of my Tiger brethren I will give KU some credit. They have won all the games they have played which is commendable. They took advantage of a broken down NU and took them to the woodshed. I would have never imagined KU winning like they did today. Joey Ganz helped by throwing those picks but KU still had to do the rest. Good game and I hope you win out until we meet so we can take you down.

As a MU fan I can say I was impressed with KU today. Any time you put up that many points on a team. Going to be on hell of a game at AH.
What is also going to be interesting is how MU's D will play after we lost our star Pig. Kinda scares me. |

Kansas has a good football team, we all agree on that. The question is still, how good. Respect is earned. It's not earned by beating MAC or Sun Belt or Southland teams at home. It's not primarily earned by taking care of business against weak conference opponents. Certainly not by beating a broken, demoralized, decimated, coachless, Nebraska team at home when the program is at a historic low point. All the teams they have played that look like they belong in a major football conference have played them close so you can judge them to be better than the KSUs and the A&Ms of the world but you don't know much else. There's virtually no way possible the schedule could be easier. The athletic department made it that way, so these are the resulting questions they have to deal with until it works itself out. I'm not saying we know much more about Missouri at this point. They've basically done the same thing - taken care of business against inferior opposition, the only difference being that they showed they belong on the same field as Oklahoma. You aren't going to 'convince the haters' until you prove something. |

But I don't think they're a Top 10 team. MAYBE Top 20, but not Top 10. And I don't think they'll beat Missouri. |

I am pretty impressed by KU thus far this season and just dumbfounded by the score against NU today. And just in case there were any Jayhawk fans screaming about Mizzou running up the score on Nebraska earlier this year, you should be ashamed of yourself. :p :) mmaddog ******* |
