I used to stay with my Great Grandparents when I was a kid and they were very active and respected in their Church. I had friends from Dallas who would come up and spend a few weeks with their Grandmother who lived down the block, and everything was all groovy and cool.

So my buddy Mike comes along with me to a Church picnic at the park in the early evening. My peeps were Baptists, his Grandma's peeps were Presbyterian. I don't remember exactly what happened but one of the sunday school teachers, a guy probably about Stevie's age, started pushing my friend around and practically threw him in the lake.

If I remember right, he and I walked home and we went to my peeps house and told them what had happened. They called his Grandma, and we all set off for the park.
This is so long ago, it's hard to remember. But what I DO remember, is that my friends Grandmother had that mother****er all but by the throat, and was reading his most unfortunate ass a Riot Act that would make Tim Tebow piss his britches.

Suffice it to say, this particular fellow was removed from future youth teaching and activities. Mainly because of his actions, but also because my Great Grandparents were Saints in that Church. Frankly, I don't care for Religion. Since that time, I've seen so few people who could truly walk the walk the way my Great Grandparents did. Generosity before selfishness, compassion before condemnation, and knowledge of what you speak before preaching to others.
