I think Stanzi still has a chance. He approaches the game like Matt Blundin did in the 90's preseason games. I was watching one of those the other night and there arm angles are almost identical. stanzi obviously has a little more mobility but doesn't seem to have Blundin's awareness of the game. Hope the media and fans don't sterotype him as Blundin and let him be his own player.

Did you ever confess for welching on that bet? Or are you still saying you didn't? |
Billay, there will not be a single GIF of Ricky Stanzi sucking ass....EVER AGAIN...NOT ONE....unless you admit your wrongdoing.
This is your choice. THIS IS THE POINT OF NO RETUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURN |

BTW....since this is the "Stanzi sucking in preseason game 2" thread.
Can I get some gifs of Stanzis bad plays before Billay ****s that up? |
Also, GTFO out of here with the Stanzi talk. That should go in a Stanzi-related thread, not a "put baby in a corner" thread like this one.

Billay, don't make me take away Cassel GIFs.
I will turn this car around... |

I promise not to post them until you give the ok. |

I don't need any gifs. I played all 3 plays back enough times to see everything I needed to see. I'm not surprised at the analysis and I don't blame fans for hating on Stanzi at this point but I still don't think those negative plays are going to have much bearing on the decision makers except for on how they grade the blocking up front.
|
This ironic "fatherly figure" of GoChiefs trying to get billay to do the right thing is not only amusing but, actually has me rooting for billay to stay the course.
C'mon billay, fight the good fight, just say no to GoChiefs! |

This is real easy, billay.
You can either admit what you did or you deprive the whole forum of Stanzi/Cassel sucking in GIFs for eternity. You have until morning. Think on it. |
Exactly what post did this thread go to shit.
I want to watch this trainwreck from its appropriate starting point. |

Phil may be willing to let it slide, but the lengths that piece of shit will take to fight his internet disputes is bad for the entire CP community. And its also against the rules if I'm not mistaken. His account should be nuked from orbit. |
LMAO Wow.

I'm not reading 450 posts, but the original premise of this thread is ****ing stupid. Judging a QB by how he plays in fake games is like judging you on how good a sex partner you will be by how you whack off to midget porn.
Go take a look at Stanzi's pro stats. Oh, wait, you can't find any? That's right... because they've NEVER LET HIM THROW A PASS IN A REAL GAME. Not even in garbage time. He could suck. Statistics say he probably does. But he could be Johnny Unitas reincarnated. From what I've seen, the "supporters" are mostly people who've said, like I do, that you don't know what you've got unless you give it a shot. If Cassel sucks donkey balls in the first game or two, given that and his prior resume it's pretty clear what you've got, so there's no reason not to throw Stanzi in there and see what he does. |
WTF is going on in this thread?

I came here to take my lumps and also to say **** YOU. Stanzi is a Chief and I support him.

This story of Billay's antics deserves its own thread. I'm thinking "Billay deceived. Nobody believed. The continuing adventures of an idiot ..." would make a good thread title.

CP needs to stay within itself. Messing around with people employers isnt cool or warranted regardless of what is said or done here. We might talk shit and act like we hate posters here, but when it comes to life, we are real and our lives are real. I wouldnt hesitate to help any poster here regardless of who they are. I have helped plenty and shared beers with many. Taking things said here to an outside level is breaking every Man Law possible when it comes to being a Man. |

I'm sorry for you.
Not sorry for me. I wanted to see Stanzi play & see if he could handle the QB duties. He failed, we could have found that out last season at any time but no we had to watch Palko fail. I would have been happy to find out so we could found someone else this offseason now he is a roster spot waist. I just wanted to see for myself what the hype was & the fact we actually drafted a QB is a rarity. I'm not sorry I rooted for him to take over, I would have loved it if he kicked ass but he failed. |

I love all the people who are just now posting in this thread under the assumption that there have been over 30 pages of high-octane drama related to whether or not Ricky Stanzi will be a successful QB for the Chiefs. I can't even decide if they're joking or not.
|
I apologize. What I saw Saturday night was not what I saw last pre-season. Maybe he can develop over the next couple years, but he definitely played himself off of the 2nd string offense.
|
Jeez...so much drama in this thread over a third string QB. Sakes alive!

I've always found red haired women to be very attractive. Red haired guys are just plain lame though.

I only would add that employers or families isn't cool. Mess with me, fine. Bring my kids into it, not fine. Other than that, well said. |
This is all the progress that has been made since 2am last night? I was expecting two more pages of denials.

I don't apologize. Stanzi needs a team that will commit to him. He needs to be traded to a team that wants him to be the starter that is tired of broke QBs making $60M and doing nothing.

If Gabbert can come back and play a decent 2012 (like he is at the moment), then Stanzi can come back from a bad preseason game. You have to let these kids mature with experience. Hopefully he'll get some time in the next two preseason games to gain his composure.
I don't know that Stanzi is going to be decent or not, I still want us to draft a QB with our first pick next year, but it's too early to give up on Stanzi. |
