American Travis Stevens just advanced to the gold medal match in Judo for his weight class. He is ranked #5 in the world, so its not a huge upset.

edit: the gold medal match will start at about 3pm

edit2: woops, wrong weight class. It'll probably be in another 20-30 minutes or so, who knows.

He got tossed on his back, so its over. Silver medal in Judo.

Definitely a difficult sport to follow if you have no background.

You guys heard about the gymnast that broke his leg the other night. Well, now there has been a nasty wrist injury during women's beach volleyball. But I think I'll be ok in a few days.

Our middleweight boxer lost and is out. UD (29-28x3) He looked shocked, but he shouldn't have been, he lost R1 and probably lost R2. He needed to knock him down or out, but he cruised as if he thought he had the lead.

I remember listening to Jay Mohr on sports radio years ago --- out of nowhere, he commented, "is it wrong that I watch women's tennis with my pants around my ankles?" Cracked me up.
