I know the drafturbators will flip either way...but if he makes that deal...OBVIOUSLY he didn't want Sanchez or Stafford. |
Try being a QB with a line full of 200lb freshmen. Not to mention the previous QB had a line full of seniors and went and 8-2.
Went 0-10( **** you quit laughing) The previous QB ****ed my GF of 3 yrs............my HS sweetheart...........damn.......... 10 yrs later it still hurts............bad. The Chiefs are my only hope at football glory.........Oh, and he's married to her. |
I don't get it
They say Pioli is one of the brighest minds and personel guys in football but I just don't get this trade. There may be much more value to Vrable than any of us fans can see because from the outside it looks like sh*t to me. He has maybe two years left at most. I could see getting a 6-7 year vet who was 28-29 but Vrabel seems one step too far. Let's hope we are all proved wrong.
Maybe Vrabel is great to instill a winning culture and attitude on defense because we sure do need it. The efforts and attitude from our defense last year SUCKED big time. I would love to see a trade for Peppers and I am glad we didn't get Haynesworth. Someone posted that they think we got into the bidding to raise the stakes for Haynesworth and I know that KC has a habit of doing this to other teams. Carl Peterson was shrewed about the way he used that trick. I also don't want Ray Lewis or any other 10-14 year vet. We need 5-7 years vets who are still hungry and have at least 5 more years left on their treads. |
I would say at this point the trade can't be assessed until we know
A). What did the chiefs give up B). Is it part of another deal I will say that if its not part of another deal and the chiefs gave up anything better than a 5th round pick than Belichick did to Pioli what that International Student at KU did to those dogs. Posted via Mobile Device |
I could never find it but I rember Pioli talking about how there were some players on the Pats roster that were there for leadership reeasons more then they were there for their overall play. Our D young needs leadership so bad that I welcome Vrabel with open arms.

Something I hadn't considered.
This probably upsets Bill Simmons. As such, I give the move a solid B+ |
Tedy Bruschi-LB-Patriots Feb. 28 - 8:39 am et
Tedy Bruschi responded via email to the Boston Herald regarding the trade of longtime teammate and close friend Mike Vrabel. "We’ve lost perhaps our best all around football player," he said. "Defense, offense, special teams, Vrabes did it all. His intelligence and on field adjustments can not be replaced. This team has just changed immensely." With Vrabel gone, Bruschi's leadership on the New England defense will become even more important. Source: Boston Herald |

BELICHICK: Ok, Scott. We were going to cut Teddy anyway. PIOLI: No Bill, the other old guy that you would probably cut anyway! |
