He wasn't on the field, though. IIRC, the only time he was was on the plays he had.

We were moving the ball with McCluster and reverses to Bowe.

Remember, you have a weak armed inaccurate QB, with some athletic ability, but whose passing gets worse when he's moving.

You also have the worst RT in the game, an adequate, at best, O-Line blocking for an over the hill RB who looks like he's running in mud, a power RB with limited talent, and a midget who has perfected the pirroette, which fools no one.

What do you do?

He has to be on the move more. I realize that NY had essentially packed it in during the second half, so it's not convincing evidence, but the only time we had a modicum of success is when Failko was on the move.

Hell, we watched Gailey change everything to make up for Thigpen's lack of accuracy and horrendous footwork. Remember the ATL game in his first taste of action? Absolute abortion.

Yet we polished that ****ing turd. So much so that many Chiefs fans don't even think he's a turd. Hell, 'zilla is in the process of debating whether or not Huard was trash--he was--simply because we could hide his sorry ass well enough.

Deez I think what milk is trying to say is how do you hide it. IMO the best way to hide what Palko brings is one the bench with a beenie.

What are you talking about?

A prevent defense has your safeties back 15-20 yards downfield. You have soft spots all over the place because you cover so much vertical and horizontal territory. Defenses are basically playing an unaggressive short zone on us. They're playing red zone defense EVERY play. Corners are guarding on an island because none of them are scared about getting burned deep. That means that all your LBs and Safeties can commit to shutting down plays horizontally.

You force LBs or Safeties to commit by running the ball down their throat. We can't do that. Or your QB carves you up so you send blitzers to confuse them. We don't do that either.

No argument here. I think you hide him by having the pro-personnel guy take his playbook. But that doesn't change the fact that we should be well versed on the art of turd polishing.

We've been doing that at the QB position for years.

Couldn't agree more.

Whats your opinion on the upcoming draft Deez. You always have a take on the draft.

Yeah, but what does that get you? So you spend an entire half-season running a gimmick offense with a whole different playbook to accomodate a QB that isn't going to do anything for you?

You may call the Thigpen experiment a successful one. But it also taught our players, namely our offensive linemen like Albert, some very bad habits.

I expect much anger and frustration as I watch our ziti smelling ****ing moron try to prop up his biggest mistake (Cassel). We'll be in position to draft a legit QB prospect, but we won't because we're KC.

Need a NT. A RT. Safety depth. MLB. RB.

Basically all of the things we've needed since Pioli arrived.

No, he's asking why we're not bootlegging or throwing screen passes.

And I've been saying that it's because teams are playing unaggressive zone contain defenses. And that screen passes don't work against defenses that aren't overpursuing the run. Walling your defenders to 20 yards and in makes it easy to run zone defense without having the same kind of soft spots.

I think one of the worst habits we "taught" Albert is that our soon-to-be-fired head golfer demanded that he play too light.

There's inherent value in winning, especially when you're trying to develop some young talent (Baldwin, Houston, and others).

The problem is that his worst passes come while on the move.

The Jets had an insurmountable lead when we had that modicum of success, so that isn't a true indicator.

Yep.

Safety depth and Rb shouldn't be terribly hard to find.

There are also a few really good NTs and RTs in this draft as well as MLBs.

I just want a qb. I really like Barkley and RGIII. Either one would do.

This turd is vacuum packed in clear plastic.

Can't be polished.
