Done right the Punisher could be really good. Seeing what they did with DD I'd like to see a Netflix/Punisher product.

Blade and GR have a number of movies and I'd approach them like they did the Hulk. "They've been introduced, you know what they are, we're just going to throw them in."

It would also be cool to have Punisher show up in a cameo in Civil War. Have him roll up at some point in the Battle Van to pick up Cap from (insert element of danger) and take him to the hideout. Cut to Cap $#itting his pants looking at the collection of weaponry inside...

That happened two years ago.

Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" has added another name to its growing cast with Martin Freeman, who will make his debut in the film.

"From his roles as Bilbo Baggins and Doctor Watson to Tim in 'The Office,' Martin's range from the dramatic to the comedic has consistently impressed us," said "Captain America: Civil War" Producer Kevin Feige. "We couldn't be more honored or excited to have such a talented actor join the Marvel Cinematic Universe."

Celebrated for his roles in "Sherlock," "Fargo," the “Hobbit” trilogy, and much more, Freeman has earned one Primetime Emmy® Award and one BAFTA Award, both for his portrayal of Doctor John Watson in "Sherlock." Martin has also been nominated for a Golden Globe® for his role of Lester Nygaard in “Fargo”, and nominated for a further two Emmy Awards and two BAFTA Awards. Most recently Martin has been seen hosting SNL and has filmed Tina Fey's untitled wartime black comedy.

"Captain America: Civil War" hits theaters May 6, 2016. Stay tuned to Marvel.com for the latest on all of Marvel Studios' upcoming films as it breaks.

The Punisher has no super powers and could probably give 2 shits about the registration act.

If they introduce Castle as someone trying kill Spiderman thanks to the misinformation by Jonah Jamison and the Bugle it would be interesting.

ThaVirus 05-06-2015 11:09 AM

I have the Civil War comic and Punisher is in it. I can't remember exactly why he shows up but he murders a couple villains who were working for the pro-registration side and saves Cap in the process. They get back to the hideout and once Cap regains his strength he wrecks Punisher's asshole for killing the guys.

Castle wouldn't even fight back out of respect.. What a pussy.

If Martin Luther King Jr. put his hands on me he's getting a fierce ground and pound. End of story.

I see. I have admittedly have never read "Civil War"

Deberg_1990 05-07-2015 08:17 PM

damn, Civil War is basically going to be Avengers 2.5

Arriving May 6 of next year, the third Captain America movie is actually the sixth movie in which Chris Evans plays Steve Rogers, and it’s gathering together an “Avengers”-size truckload of characters who have already been in Marvel superhero movies, among them:

Robert Downey Jr. as Tony “Iron Man” Stark;
William Hurt as Gen. Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross;
Scarlett Johansson as Natasha “Black Widow” Romanoff;
Don Cheadle as James “War Machine” Rhodes;
Jeremy Renner as Clint “Hawkeye” Barton;
Emily VanCamp as Sharon “Agent 13” Carter;
Anthony Mackie as Sam “Falcon” Wilson;
Sebastian Stan as Bucky “Winter Soldier” Barnes;
Frank Grillo as Brock “Crossbones” Rumlow;
Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda “Scarlet Witch” Maximoff; and
Paul Bettany as The Vision.

No word on Hulk or Thor, but Chadwick Boseman will use “Civil War” to introduce the African superhero Black Panther, and it’s widely assumed a teen Peter “Spider-Man” Parker will be part of the melee.

Here is a recap of all the easter eggs spread throughout the current movies of the MCU. There's a couple in there I had never seen...

I'd really like to see Amadeus Cho pop up in the MCU. I loved his character in the comix and I think it would translate well to the screen.

BY LUCY O'BRIENAccording to a new report, Marvel and Sony are zoning in on Asa Butterfield as their new Spider-Man.

The 18-year-old's name recently emerged on a leaked short-list for the role, and according to Latino Review, Butterfield is now the frontrunner out of the five rumoured actors.

"Marvel had liked him since day one", a source told the publication.

Butterfield - best known for his roles in Ender's Game and Hugo - is reportedly facing off against Nat Wolff (The Fault in Our Stars/Paper Towns), Tom Holland (The Impossible), Timothee Chalamet (Homeland) and Liam James (The Way, Way Back) to play the young Spidey, who will cameo in Captain America: Civil War before headlining a solo movie in 2017

Looks like he's in final talks. The job is his.
