The more these players speak up, the more it sounds like Martin is being a little bitch.

Guys give each other a hard time. We talk shit to each other, we make fun of each other, all in the name of a good laugh. I've never had a friend get all bent out of shape just because i called him a cocksucking bundle of sticks. I've never taken it personal when my friends give me a hard time either.

It's starting to sound like a case of guys being guys and Martin being a girl.

Martin came from a wealthy family, private school was definitely the biggest and best player on his high school team where he was the guy, was highly recruited by one of the best education systems in the country.

Then there got to block for the best QB in the nation in Andrew Luck, played with guys like Fleener and Sherman. He was literally the MAN blocking for the best QB. Highly scouted and drafted. Groomed in his first year and kept in line by Jake Long, then Long leaves and the team gives him the keys to be the LT and block for their franchise QB in one offseason.

guys like Icognito take him under their wing all offseason. Seasons starts and the dude pisses away his opportunity, gets his QB killed every game, feels the heat from fans, media, coaches. Then he does so bad the team moves him to the right side and eventually benches him after they trade for 100 year old Bryant McKinne and would rather play Tyson Clabo who is terrible.

The dude probably never had to face any adversity like being benched for a bunch of aging veterans off the scrap heap. I dont know if he has an ego or not, but that team gave him something with no competition, he was terrible, then they took it away. And that could be the driving force, he basically quit on the team, and took the team down with him by airing out in house stuff.

He's always been the guy, beating inferior talent by his size. In the NFL where guys are bigger and faster he can't just get by on natural talent, and his ego (if he has one) or having everything given to him may be a factor in this.

Coupled with the numerous pre-draft reports about him being "soft", it makes sense.

Some guys just aren't cut out for the NFL. Hell, if i were a pro ball player and i was stinking it up, i'd imagine i'd have a hard time dealing with all the negative press too. City is mad at you. Coaches are mad at you. You're mad at yourself....coupled with players razing you.....it's easy to imagine him wiggin' out.

Starting to sound like a lover's spat (nttiawwt) ...

Ryan Tannehill says Incognito and Martin were best friends

Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill is mystified by the suspension of Richie Incognito and the departure of Jonathan Martin, because as far as Tannehill knew, the two were best friends.

Asked today about reports that Incognito bullied, harassed and threatened Martin to the point where Martin felt he had to leave the team, Tannehill said that to the contrary, he always was under the impression that Martin and Incognito were like brothers.

“I think if you had asked Jon Martin a week before who his best friend on the team was, he would have said Richie Incognito,” Tannehill said. “The first guy to stand up for Jonathan when anything went down on the field, any kind of tussle, Richie was the first guy there. When we would hang on off the field, outside football, who was together? Richie and Jon. I’m not in those guys’ shoes, I can’t explain what’s going on.”
So if these two were allegedly best friends, why are there reports that Incognito left Martin a voicemail calling him the N-word and threatening to kill him? Tannehill says he doesn’t know.

Absolutely no organizational control here whatsoever. This whole situation is a complete dumpster fire for Miami.

How many times are we going to see dumpster fire for Miami posted in this thread? Is it the new hip go to line or something?

I don't remember him getting benched for Clabo. Clabo is only starting BECAUSE Martin left.

Charles Woodson on NFL network is great, says Martin should've told Incognito to kiss his ass a long time ago.

Sounds like Martin preferred the helmet on the Dolphin.

I thought after they demoted him from LT, then put him at RT in the NE game, he continued to get beat like a drum, Tannehil got sacked four times, they lost and were about to bench him before he up and left and this circus started.

I've noticed that you have a long track record of coming down hard on bullies and that's fine, but don't let your anti-bully sentiments cause you to jump to black and white conclusions. There's a lot of potential for this to turn out to be a circus of unsympathetic characters of varying degress on both sides.

Tannehill is the QB. His job is to be the voice of the team. The worse this gets, the bigger the distraction this becomes. Not to mention that he may like Philbin. Drew Brees and Scott Fujita are stand-up guys who strongly denied accusations that bounties were being placed. Dwayne Bowe was destroyed by the team when he gave up sensitive information about importing. I don't see any reason whatsoever why Tannehill would say anything bad about Incognito.

I don't think this is black and white. I've said that Martin is probably ****ed up in the head. I know there are two sides here. But I don't trust anything that comes out of the locker room. We've been in the Pioli era long enough to know that when shit like this happens, I can guarantee you every single player was media coached and given a specific set of talking points. Why do you think Philbin has been pretty much reading off prepared statements?

I don't really trust anybody's word. I don't trust Martin. I don't trust Incognito. But the text messages are factual evidence that something was going on. And there is too much smoke in inside sources here that reveals that this may have been even worse.

Even after 27 years of marriage and my trying to explain it to her numerous times my mrs still gets shocked when she hears us guys together busting balls.
