I'd say 2 or 3 |
PG-Graham
SG-Selden SF-Greene PF-Ellis (mother****er better play defense next season) PF-Mickelson ??? I can't see Self playing small ball w/ Ellis AND Alexander down low. |

PG Mason SG Selden SF Oubre PF Ellis C Mickelson Bench bigs - Alexander, Traylor, with Lucas getting spot minutes Bench guards - Graham, Frankamp, Greene with White getting spot minutes That's a very, very deep and balanced team. Not nearly as good top of the rotation with Wiggins and Embiid gone. But the guard play I think is going to be overall much, much better this coming season. Hard to say that, losing Wiggins. While Oubre will be a significant drop off offensively - losing Tharpe and replacing with a more talented Graham and a year of seasoning for both the Franks is going to have the guards as the strength of this team. Perimeter Defense will be a turnaround from this past year. |
Alexander will still probably start. He may only be 6'8" but he is a true 5. I seriously doubt Self is saying "Ive got 2 potentially great bigs but they cant play together"

I think what we'll find is that Bill will mix up his lineup based upon the opponent.

I'm seeing on phog.net that there are rumors that we could fill our last scholarship spot with a 16 year old foreign kid from the Ukraine. He looks like a bad ass and would have to stay two years due to the age requirement.

If Bill Self actually pulls off bringing in Svietslav, I think I will be officially at max awe.

PG ---- SG - Selden SF - Oubre PF - Ellis C - Alexander Oubre is just such a great all-around player. Greene has a chance to be a special scorer I suppose, but he struggles in the other facets of basketball still. I suppose nobody really knows, but I just think he's going to be a Brandon Rush type player. Too valuable to not start. If I had to pick, I'd pick Mason, but I wouldn't be surprised if Graham starts by the end of the year. Either way, Frankamp, Mason & Graham will see extensive minutes. I just don't think Frankamp will play much PG. |
