Salary is $2 million/year.

This just gets better and better....

That makes a lot more sense.

So long as the incentives are significant.

To add to the parade:

I know that there was a lot of confidence they would keep Tim Fuller on staff yesterday, but...

It's not set in stone yet. And Oregon finds itself in need of a lead assistant. And Fuller used to work for NIKE. And Oregon is interested in Fuller.

I don't like the looks of this, guys.

Well he's gone.

I can never be positive again, yesterday took the last shred of optimism I had left, everything about this school is bad and I just don't have hope anymore.

Horrible analogy. It is impossible to get a surprise colonoscopy.

Death would have been better for the analogy.

It just amazes me how incompetence can be rewarded.

If they wanted to save money they should have just offered him $600K. This contract makes it look like it's not even about saving money. They either honestly thought that a D2 guy was the best candidate, or he was the only one who would take the job.

I have a feeling it's a combination of both.

Colonoscopy is way down the list of "I had a WHAT?" procedures.

Apparently these low-ball, incentive-based deals are Alden's strong preference and one of the things that scared off some candidates in this search. It's one reason he has a hard time attracting basketball coaches who are worth a shit to Missouri.

And if you're the university chancellor, how do you not see his persistent failures?

The university is systemically incompetent.
