ChiefsPlanet - NFL Draft Geno Smith fans roll call

That's not that big of a deal man. People are saying he was this gifted student in school who understood things more than anybody. They are making him out into this "intellectually gifted" guy.

Didn't realize kids that were smart, gifted and understood things better than everybody else had a 2.8 GPA.

And he struggles reading defenses and blitzes. He studies Syracuse tape all summer long and still looks bad when playing them.

I'm just saying man. This board has put Geno on a pedestal that is touching the brink of the o-zone layer when in reality he's really not what it seems.

so where's this research?

Ok he struggles reading defenses, but has a completion percentage above 70%.

Either his guys are getting open, or he's just that accurate. Which is it?

A lot of his success is Tavon Austin and his YAC. Do you know how many of Austin's total yards were YAC? It's damn near a thousand if I remember correctly.

If this kid is gifted like people on here are claiming and he's skipping grades, why did he have a 2.8 GPA in high school?

Hell I slept through half my classes in high school and got a 3.6. I must be the next Bill Gates if Geno Smith is this smart guy people are making him out to be.

So the fact he can throw the ball 60-80 yards and hit a receiver in stride isn't impressive?

Tyler Wilson has a strong arm as well,but he throws the ball with weird mechanics that cause inconsistent results.

All in all 53% of Geno's passing yards to his top 2 WR's came from YAC.
