I know the Red Sox sing that shit Neil Diamond song in the 7th inning, but when the Royals play like this I prefer the Harry Nilsson classic:

Everbody's talking at me...

I can't hear a word they're saying...

Just driving around in Jon Voit's caaarrrrrrr

Nice.

I was also thinking that when Papismear comes to bat, the fans could chant:
"Our facking town" throughout his at bat.

And if the Rays lose and we win we would only be 4.5 back of the top wildcard spot. Both spots are coming into play now.

Giants up 2 on the O's in the 7th.

Would be thrilled if we could beat Doubront tonight.

I just have a sense that Shields is going to rebound big and pitch lights-out awesome tomorrow. We can get Lackey.

Thx for the come-from-behind clarifications. Based on everything this franchise has been through in the last 20 years, they need to stay hot & make the damn postseason.

Friend of a friend apparently tried to walk up & couldn't get any. Not sure if it was a big group (or if it even happened), but it's possible.

We are really lucky that everyone else lost and that Tampa has been losing so now both wild card spots are well within reach.

Basically, there are two spots for five teams. Rays, Orioles, A's, Indians and Royals. As of now we are fifth on the list but with so much time left that doesn't matter a whole lot. If we keep winning like we are we should be able to pass three of those teams which is all we have to do to get a wildcard. That is not too bad of a spot and I see no reason why we can't do it. Cleveland is running out of the luck that got them all those walk off victories and Oakland is in a free fall. Orioles are playing uninspiring and pretty meh and Tampa is coming back down after they had a good stretch.

Cleveland will hopefully be passed by tomorrow with Baltimore being passed in a week or so. Then we have the rest of the season to just pass one more team. Obviously we have to pass them and stay above them but the way all the teams are playing I don't see why we can't. We can do this guys!

Only issue with this is a 5-game series in Detroit coming up, whom is probably the best team in baseball at this point.

I'm going to agree with Tegu, every team ahead of us has SERIOUS flaws. We just have to win today.
