Keep the Faith, my Royals brethren. Also hurry back LOCain. Won't hold my breath on the latter.

Doesn't he get Salvy back today? While in no way completely responsible for the the pitching staffs struggles this week, having crap behind the plate has to have had at least some impact.

The injury situation is disturbing. We have been lucky. It is August, and players get hurt. But no more, please.

You want to be the best you have to......

Also within the next 10 days Baltimore has a series with Tampa and Oakland has a series with Cleveland,KC just has to keep their focus on their own games and let the other crap play out.

BlackHelicopters 08-11-2013 07:57 AM

Focus today and win this series. Vital.

Last night while talking to Phiz & Hud Darrin Hurstead mentioned Gordon's wife was due @ any moment. My questions are once his wife has the kid does the CBA require Gordon to go on the paternity list even if she has the kid tonight and he is able to attend the birth and his wife gives her permission for him to play?

If question one is yes is Gordon required to be 3 days and not just 3 games (we play 2 games on Friday this week) or could he come sooner if everything goes smoothly?

Don't get me wrong I'm glad Gordon's wife is about to have another kid but in 4 days the Royals may begin their most important series in more than a decade. It's kind of a bummer if CBA rules mandate that our best player must sit out 4 of the 5 games because of the timing of the arrival of his new baby.

Here's hoping the baby decides to make his/her grand entrance into this world either tonight or before 7:00 PM tomorrow. We may be able to beat Miami w/o Gordo but we ain't beating Detroit w/o him.

Paternity leave is voluntary.

Demonpenz 08-11-2013 09:17 AM

if you had to sit out a game every time you had a baby Dyson would playing until 2015

Demonpenz 08-11-2013 09:18 AM

if you had to sit out everytime your kid was born dyson wouldn't ever play

Yep. Definitely need to win this game and be confident with a weaker opponent coming into tomorrow. A nice four game win streak heading to Detroit would be great.

Tejada to the DL, Falu up from Omaha. Does that mean EJ is the starting 2B? Good lord, that can't be the answer.

Meanwhile, Salvy is back today, batting 5th. Hayes and Joseph sent back down, Wade Davis back with the club.

Archie F. Swin 08-11-2013 10:25 AM

Here's to hoping that Big Game James shows up at 1:10pm central.

Sure-Oz 08-11-2013 10:26 AM

Falu should be starting over EJ

Ugh. We are the Royals. We deserve some good luck for crying out loud!

ffffffuuuuuuccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.

Johnson, literally, cannot hit, and we cannot afford to bat 8 (or 7 if Escobar is going full himself).

I'd have to think that bringing up Colon to see if we can catch lightning wouldn't be the worst approach.
