Plenty of us said this last year. I never once thought he "lost a step" due to age. He lost a step due to being fat. The route in the super bowl at the end of the game was the fastest he's ever run in his career. You don't go from that to losing a whole step and all of your wiggle overnight. He was out of shape the whole season.
