Same guy just announced Jerry Jones plans to sell the Cowboys. Take that as you will.

This market is drunk. Even if Samuel is a slot guy, at least he shows up every game. Gabe Davis is living off of the Divisional Round performance and the occasional big game against a shitty team. |
Too bad we did not get Samuel. The price was certainly reasonable. He would’ve provided a reliable option and that’s really what we need most to add to our receivers. And we could go through the speed guy in the draft. If we do sign brown, I’m afraid it will be for a lot more money than Samuel got.
But we shouldn’t panic. Our receiving game is automatically going to be better than last year’s. We won’t be giving Tony and Moore snaps, Rice should play like he did the last half of the season for the full year, and I think Smith will be an excellent complement to Kelce. Between free agency and the draft I am sure we can at least equal MVS. |

Kelce should be good for 1000 yards. River should get us 1200. Watson/Other WRs/TEs for another 800. Backs for another 700. If we can bring in a competent complement to these guys we’re looking at 4500 or more yards. We’re find as long as we’re not trying to teach our WR1 and WR2 had to play football. |
Who's River?

Well yeah. He's nothing like either of those guys. Like, at all. Unlike Hardman, he's an actual WR.
|
Not crazy about Samuel. He just strikes me as a better (although more costly) version of what we have. Guys who apart from winning vertical on sheer speed are more dangerous after the catch than they are before it. Want to do more than these quick wr catch and runs. Get one of these guys in the draft instead of paying the moon for a gadget guy in his 30s.
|
Hadn't even thought about that. Interesting context.

He's good at separating from man coverage and actually isn't a pure/sheer speed guy. He's also not a gadget-only guy and isn't in his 30s. |
