Watched most of the game last night. That was one weird Sunflower showdown. There was silly basketball at times. That always happens with KU in games they need to win...some asshole like Releford has a career day.

Can't make all the mistakes & whatnot against a good team, especially when your gameplan is based around not making said mistakes. Horrible first half, save the last 45 seconds or so. 2nd half wasn't a whole lot better IMO except for the first drive...

Really think the offense missed Lockett and the D missed Meshak in the 2nd half.

But I like what we're bringing back & am looking forward to next year. Still wouldn't mind replacing Cosh (or at least getting a Co-DC) even though I know it won't happen.

Good season. Would be nice to get a new D Coordinator and a new Special Teams Coach as well.

What baffles me the most is, why is that nobody coffin corner kick anymore these days, instead of drilling it out to the endzone?

Defense played as good as game as they've played all year. That punt return changed the course of the game. Moving on to Missourah in a few hours.

2nd year of the rule. Technically(especially last year without the arc) the only charge zone is directly under the rim. The arc is obviously quite a bit bigger than the rim.

Before the KSU/KU game, I told a Wildcat coworker that KU would win by double digits, then KSU would bounce back and beat Mizzou at home... and he pretty much agreed. So yeah, didn't think MU would be losing by 20 by this point, but shit happens.... Good job, Cats. o:-)

I didn't expect us to look this bad, but I did expect the effort from KSU.

Most of us weren't sure what to expect. Losing 60% of the scoring with Jake gone, I wasn't sure where/who they would get scoring from.

Early on, it was Gip. He has been neutralized recently and when that happened, Angel started hitting shots, dishing assists and JO began chipping in with 8 or 10 points and 5 rebounds, or Jamar would come up big on the Oboards and get to the line.

The common thread through it all has been solid defense.
