Nobody, and I mean nobody is hotter in baseball than the teams in front of the Royals in the wild card and Detroit. Yeah I know Cleveland has cooled off but they had like a 9 game winning streak before their recent skid. Bad luck Royals. Usually when you win 18 of 23 games you don't lose ground in your division and only gain .5 games in the WC...

They HAVE climbed over a team or 2 in the division and 2 or three teams in the wc tho.

Where are you getting that? They've cut their wildcard deficit by more than 50% since the all-star break, and have made up 1.5 games in the division.

Over the last 10 games, we've gained 4, 5, 2, & 5 games against the A's, Rays, Orioles, and Indians respectively. That is massive progress in a short amount of time.

We just won comfortably with our much maligned #5 starter on the mound (who pitched his third straight outstanding game, btw). We did it without our two best outfielders, our second baseman, and while losing our third baseman halfway through the game. This team is rolling.

New repository... same OP OK with everyone? I'm just hesitant to do it while the mojo is so good.

I don't understand the need for a new repository, this one seems to be working just fine.

I don't think that is a good idea personally.

Soon someone will have to start a thread about the other teams in the playoff race and their games. Basically a repository of all those teams to keep up with their results and how it pertains to us. That would help keep some posts out of here so that this thread can last all season.
