Duane Brown is the best left tackle in the NFL. All-Pro, Pro Bowler, 2nd team All-Pro in 2011. Best, bar none.

In August 2012, Brown signed a 6 year, $53.4 million dollar deal. There's no ****ing way, especially with a flat cap, that Clady or Albert can expect to receive a bigger contract offer.

None, zip, zero. Won't happen.

We can speculate all we want, the FACT is that Ryan Clady TURNED DOWN a 5year 50 million dollar contract with Denver.

These guys are gonna want more than Duane Brown.

FACT: Duane Brown got 6 years 53 million
FACT: Ryan Clady TURNED DOWN A SUPERIOR OFFER ALREADY.

There was no speculation in my post.

Continue to argue the poster though...

Considering you said "these guys".....yeah....there was speculation. You have no idea what Albert would or would not turn down.

How much guaranteed money was in that offer?

I don't give a flying **** if Clady or Albert "want" more than Duane Brown. Any GM that would give into those demands is a moron.

The market's been set.

You think Alberts' agent is gonna bend over and take less money when the two players came from the same draft and have comparable results?

If he does, he won't get many tackles calling him to represent them in the future.

The Broncos had reportedly offered the fifth-year pro $50 million over five years with $28 million guaranteed.

The Broncos made the offer that was turned down and it was reported in te media.

The deal was for less years and comparable total amount to Browns deal.

His agent is making a statement that Brown got underpaid.

They said on the herd that Flaccos agent wants 20 million per and won't take less.

Right on top of it. Beat me to it. And Clady is a ****ing idiot for turning that deal down unless it was just a joke in guaranteed money. Albert would've already had that offer sheet signed if it was offered to him from where I'm sitting.

Or it could have had different language written into it that Clady and his agent didn't like.

He completely screwed himself because he rejected that offer before Duane Brown agreed to terms in August 2012.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) -- Ryan Clady rejected both a $50 million offer and the chance to talk about it.

The Denver Broncos and the two-time Pro Bowl left tackle, who will play a crucial role in protecting Peyton Manning's blind side this season, ended talks Monday on a contract extension until after the 2012 season.

BossChief 01-31-2013 02:10 PM

I agree, Flop. If I'm Albert and they put a carbon copy of Duane Browns deal in front of me to sign, I'm putting ink to paper and throwing a party that night.
