I don't think even that would explain it.

Hey, when is his show-cause up? :fire:  :sulk:

It is sad, you joined the SEC, you are going to have to up your payscale to compete. They need to start spending the money.

That salary wouldn't have been offered to anyone but Anderson. His base is 300k.

Low base/high incentives offers were apparently a problem in this search, though. So I'd imagine they tried similar salary structures with other coaches. Will never know for sure on that.

Matter is not the only person reporting Marshall was in serious talks.

Understood. I still believe that your AD lowballed all of them.

Funny that outside of CP, the opinion on this hire is almost unanimously positive. I just finished up at UCM, and Kim Anderson is genuinely a solid coach who will do a lot of good things for the Tigers. I'll be attending numerous games next season to see what magic he can bring.

Oh, I'm sure he did. Something like:

Base salary of $1.5 million.
Incentives (easy): $2.25-2.5 million (easily reached ones, like games coached, speaking appearances, etc)
Incentives (hard): $0.5-1 million (win conference, win conference tourney, make NCAAT, make Sweet 16, etc)

Alden is a dumbass.

Lot of negativity at PowerMizzou, too, from some of the most analytical and detailed posters (StuBlack, Spur06, mizzoucobra, Brad Burgess).

I'm sure casual fan thinks this is great. Casual fan also has no idea how recruiting works and likes nostalgia a whole, whole lot.

From that aspect of things, Alden has succeeded. But if Anderson doesn't back it up with wins, it will turn right back around in a hurry.

First step in building:

"The best staff in America"...

Kim Anderson is bringing assistant Brad Loos with him from CMSU.

I think people are severely underestimating the significance of division II basketball. It isn't intramurals.
