Are you kidding? They could intentionally walk him leadoff and he would be out on strikes.

So what are our realistic chances of keeping Gordon and Zobrist - now that we have all this playoff and WS money? I assume we'll also need to add one starter at the Volquez level as well.

Roughly how much more money do we get for each game the series goes over 4?

Prison Bitch 10-28-2015 11:48 PM

DeGrom threw 94 pitches

We swung and missed 3

I think keeping one is very likely. If gordon will take 85 percent of market value, I think KC can afford to keep him.

I'm pretty confident they keep Zobrist if they want. Might take a four-year deal, but the guy loves it here and his market value shouldn't be too crazy (12-14 million/year).

So hopeful the Royals sweep because I'm officially going to game 4.

Tidbit on the Mets as we head to New York...

They have the worst home batting average in MLB...just .233. They also have the worst home OBP in MLB.

Great Expectations 10-29-2015 08:17 AM

Snydergaard is from Texas and has 20 strikeouts in 13 innings pitched this postseason.

Sounds like they need to move the walls in again in the offseason.

If they convince Zobrist to stay, what happens with Omar ?

He sticks around and plays some unless you can find someone who will take him and pay 1/2 his salary.

The beauty of Zobrist is his versatility. RF,LF, 2B, 3B, etc.

Zobrist could be the primary RF, but play 2B vs. righties (with Dyson playing CF and Cain in RF those days).
