Trust the pocket and step up into throws...if he doesn't start doing this, the OL is at a huge disadvantage.

Get it done, Alex.

The Chiefs are paying you to step up.

Other than the first one - getting the ball out on time - we have 3.25 seasons of evidence in KC and more than a decade of evidence in his career that say he can't and won't do the others.

Was a very good article, and nothing to greatly disagree with.

There is no way to know for sure if Smith is dealing with anything physically. He has said no, but would say that no matter the truth. Something is off, though — accuracy, consistency, movement, none of it is what he’s shown in Kansas City the last three years.
Yes, something has been off. I don't think it's too late to get back on track. Of course, it's not too late. Team was 1-5 last year. Is Smith capable of fixing the issues, so that he can play like he did in the second half of last season, or better?

If so, and Houston ever gets his ass back in the lineup, then it will be KC back in the postseason yet again.

He is what I said he was. Game ovah!

The people who keep talking about how we were 1-5 last year remind of the people who kept trumpeting how we were 7-9 in 2011.

trust his receivers to make the play He's never done this in 12 seasons.
Trust himself to make the deeper throws that opposing defenses are gifting him to overcompensate to take away the short passing game and his ability to run for first downs. He doesn't do this very often, so don't count on it as a regularity.

Get it done, Alex. I doubt "getting it done" will be any improvement over the "getting it done" we've seen the past 12 seasons.

The Chiefs are paying you to step up.

I don't see it happening at a level that's needed.

19 for 22... 225 yards in effectively only 3 quarters of play (for the passing game). 1 easy drop by sherman, 1 no-call int. Damn near perfect. Not a monster, yards gobbling game - so many folks here won't be happy - but a near perfect game in shitty conditions on the road against a division rival to get the domimanting total team win - nice.

Great deep balls today!

Remember when that ****ing idiot said Smith can't beat good QBs on the road? And then I pointed out he beat Carr?

Once again, here we are. And by over 24 points, no less.

So Clay, which is it? Is Derek Carr not good or were you wrong about Smith beating good QBs on the road?

Sincerely,

Joe

Ps: I look forward to eviscerating whatever your new bullshit arbitrary statistic is.

Derrick Carr had a bad game in a stadium where it was raining and the field was shitty. Im sure Brady has had a bad game before. Im not saying Carr is the next greatest thing, but he's still a young qb that had a bad game in shitty conditions. Our QB had an average day with a great running game. Not easy to see who wins that one.

So Carr isn't good? That's the answer?

Because Smith didn't throw a pick. He didn't give up two bad sacks when the pressure was on. He didn't fumble it away.

they played on the same field. And I don't think anyone was making excuses in Pittsburgh when Big Ben face raped on the same wet field where Alex smith shit his pants.

excuses here are only allowed for OTHER teams' QBs.

have not figured this out after all this time? :p
