Why anyone would attempt to bring that up is hilarious. |

I bet we throw it 600 times this year. Someone is going to have more catches

I have no idea why anyone would bring up Steve Breaston and Matt Cassel in a debate about Alex Smith and Donnie Avery. There's absolutely no logic there. None whatsoever. Two completely unrelated QBs and WRs in every way. |

Hey, why aren't you throwing out your PFF Stats? Is it maybe because they're absolutely worthless to your argument? Phony. |

Breaston has 4 seasons with over 700 yards receiving, including a 1k yard year. Avery has 1. Breaston has a higher ypc with nearly 100 more receptions. Avery does have more TDs, although I wouldn't call either a scoring machine.
Historically-speaking, I would say the advantage goes pretty clearly to Breaston. Whether his knee's healthy now is another issue, but the question was whether Breaston in 2011 was a better player than Avery would project to be 2013. I'd say probably. |

His numbers are definitely going down with an inferior QB throwing the ball. |
