I shot a VERY unsexy 102 this morning. So I clearly need to change my role on the course. I think this could be be by the end of the week...

I sold my ISI nickles years ago to buy some Titlest set I never really liked. Even those were indestructible and looked nearly new at the time. Tough to say if they were the best iron I'd played since my swing was fairly better 10 years ago. Only thing I disliked was the offset.

He's a really good guy. His name is Ron and he'll call you and talk to you about the clubs before he sends them back; will even email you photos before shipping to ensure you're happy, and he'll do custom paintfills for no extra charge.

I saw some Nickels at a local driving range a few months ago. Snagged out the 7-iron and hit some shots with it. Thought about buying them and sending them off to him. The sweet spot was quite a bit smaller than my Eye 2s, but I've always liked the ISIs even though they are a bit unusual looking.

I've thought about buying a vibratory tumbler from Harbor Freight and trying it on sets of my own, as I have everything else to do general club repair, save for a loft/lie machine.

actual cash or club credit?

all of the tourneys around here only give course credit

The calcutta is where the money is at.

Calcuttas are so much fun and you can make some solid cash.

Last year in a local 4 ball we were 2 back going into the final round, calcutta 2nd day is used for flight situations but even slate day 2.

So we're in championship and we slow play the bidding but a few old money bags whi we grew up playing with new us and kept trying to outbid us. We ended up going for like 500, but there was like 3 grand in the pot.

We end up shooting 66 day 2, win by 1 and pocket some coin.

It made up for us getting ****ed the year before

I saw one dude bid up A-flight calcutta to almost 10 grand total, of which he put probably about $6000 in with a 30% payout for first.

It was insanity, but he was a hospital executive with a major coke problem.

Anybody know of any tournaments in KC that have good payouts?

See why this beautiful blond golfer is breaking the Internet

HOLY COW! She is smoking hot!...:p....:whackit:

http://nypost.com/2015/07/14/college...swing-in-golf/

There is more to Paige Spiranac than her collection of stunning Instagram photos, but it’s the reason the golfing beauty is breaking the Internet.
Spiranac recently graduated from San Diego University, where her college team won the Mountain West Conference Golf Championship.

The girl from Monument, Colorado, has the swing to match the hype surrounding her.

The self-confessed fitness addict has her eyes set on earning her spot on the LPGA Tour alongside the best female golfers in the world.
Despite only just finishing her university degree in communications, the 22-year-old has 85,000 followers on Instagram.
After one day on Twitter, she already has more than 1,100 followers.
Here’s why:

Spiranac first became a star in the United States when her college golf team’s trick shots video went viral.
The SDSU women’s golf team trick shots video on YouTube has more than 1.5 million views.

Spiranac was also an elite junior gymnast, training 38 hours a week to make the USA’s Olympic team, but decided to focus on golf.
“I absolutely love golf. It totally beats doing back handsprings on a 4-inch (balance) beam and defying death,” she once told The Gazette newspaper in Colorado Springs.
Last week she won the Colorado Women’s Golf Association Match Play Championship at Raccoon Creek Golf Course and is continuing to build up her rankings points to book her spot on the LPGA Tour.

The finish of the 2nd round is on ESPN right now. The wind is blowing 30+ mph. Brutal conditions. The wind is blowing the balls around on the greens.
