You chose the Chiefs?

I did. 1980 preseason game against the St. Louis Cardinals at the old Busch Stadium. I was 7 years old, played a little league "game" at halftime and a bunch of Chiefs players made a point to shake our hands when they returned to the field.

Followed them via Monday morning box scores for the longest time.

2 second round picks.

Alex Smith better be worth it.

Dorsey's made some really smart calls in Green Bay. Running back was definitely not one of them.

only a few posters with lots of posts, but mostly douchebag trolls/mults etc. there are only a few 'regular' posters on my list. Hootie is one of them.

I'm sure he's fine in real life, but I can't deal with his posts/persona. it's old, stale, and obvious.

pretty much the same thing I noticed. I haven't watched a ton of him admittedly, but that was the first thing I noticed too.

He's going to get jacked if he doesn't lower the pad level. he'd better fix that shit quick. Yeah, great, you're big and fast, but if you get smoked 2 yards off the LOS because you're running like Forrest Gump...that speed and size ratio means jack shit.

Worst pick of the draft, thus far...except for maybe the center from Wisconsin in the first.

If these guys are gonna state that they aren't gonna draft for need and STRICTLY go BPA...that's all well and good.

Until they take Knile Davis in the third round.

For the first time I'm being honest with myself and it scares the shit out of me.

Trade for a smith, 2 seconds? Wtf?! Huge contract to a punter. The way we went about free agency I took with a grain of salt and a ton of optimism, but after this draft and the whole Albert ordeal my confidence is lower than when Pioli drafted tjax.

Right now I'm afraid Dorsey and Reid are off their rockers.

In other earth shattering news:

Branden Albert - T - Chiefs
Sources tell ESPN that the Dolphins and Chiefs are not close on a trade for LT Branden Albert.
The Chiefs aren't going to take a Day 3 pick for Albert, so any deal would have to involve 2014 picks. Therefore, there's no long a sense of urgency. Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland tried to play it close to the vest Friday night, saying the trade "is not going to really amount to much, my personal opinion." He did select Tennessee G/T Dallas Thomas with the No. 77 overall pick Friday night. Still, the Chiefs don't have much leverage here. Albert doesn't want to play on his $9.3M franchise tender and doesn't want to move to right tackle. No. 1 overall pick Eric Fisher will be the Chiefs' starting left tackle come Week 1.

The Giants and Steelers will occasionally mess up. They've been average to below average the past few years.

But Ozzie ****in Newsome is God. Every single year he kills it.

Trent Baalke from SF is entering that Newsome territory as well.

Knile Davis love the pick. He is going to be a stud for us. Think Duce Staley with speed. I had him as a 4th/5th round prospect though, but still its not bad. Makes the draft alittle better.

Last year was just bad all around for arkansas players. He didnt fumble that much in 2010...if he can regain that form it will be a good pick. He could have probably been drafted later but he has more potential than a guy like lattimore who is coming off an injury too. His HWS was graded as one of the best in years.

I'm less concerned about the fumbles. Adrian Peterson, Tiki Barber, and many others have fixed it. It's fixable with good coaching.

The injuries worry me. As does the fact that he's a huge guy that isn't good with contact, and a fast guy who doesn't seem to have the kind of agility you'd want out of a fast guy. We'll see. I'll give it a chance, but the pick doesn't really excite me. He seems like LJ except without any of the power.

Actually Im fine with how the draft is going.

They got there RT and shored up that O Line.

They got a TE who several scouts compare him to Jeremy Shockey.

They got a RB who is basically a Hillis with speed.

They are upgrading these positions. Plus we have 5 picks tommorow and 2nd overall tommorow.

Your points 1 and 3 should be explained a little better. Getting a RT and a guy who has significant risk but has Hillis upside is not the endorsement you want to make.

Fisher comes in with attitude. Hes already guaranteeing himself a pro bowl his rookie season and a trip to the super bowl. He is a big upgrade over Stephenson. Fisher loves to be physical. He could become the next Willie Roaf in terms of physicality.

Kniles Davis averaged about 5 yards a carry. Name me the last time a 230 lb rb runs a 4.3. No one. Yes that is faster than Charles. Davis does have some fumble concerns but I think that can be corrected. He will give us that 1 2 punch we have looked for.

I'm fine with the Fisher pick, but not because he'll play RT early on. As for Kniles Davis, the guy is a massive project pick. He is 230 lbs but he plays like he's 190.
