No. Punk was given a 3 month suspension for leaving, then the WWE sent him termination papers after his wedding to AJ. Then the WWE tried to include a no compete clause, Punk lawyer'd up and won a settlement. Hence why he was able to sign with the UFC so fast.

Del Rio was fired for "unprofessional work behavior" for slapping that social media guy, WWE also tried to include a no compete clause for a YEAR in the United States in his termination papers, Del Rio also lawyer'd up, and won a settlement hence why he is in ROH, Lucha Underground, etc

They were both fired, both counter-sued, and both won their settlements.
