Hey, I want the kid to pick KU too, but I disagree. Darko whats-his-name was taken over Carmelo and DWade in 2003. Ricky Rubio was the 5th pick a couple years ago. The other guys probably arent top picks because they arent that good. Scouts know, exposure is for ESPN.

And besides, money isnt made in the lotto unless you are a giant bust and ned to live the rest of your life on that couple million. Even then, 1 or 2 picks isnt a huge deal.

Andrea Bargnani got enough exposure in Europe that Bryan Colangelo took him first overall. I don't think it's a major issue.

Darko is a major reason why teams are more dubious when it comes to foreign players. Rubio would never have been taken fifth overall if he hadn't played so well against the USA team in the olympics.

If you think there's no point in going to play CBB over euroleague, fine. But clearly the kid and his family and advisers do, because he's visiting schools now and reports are he's leaning toward college.

To pretend that CBB doesn't offer advantages over the Euroleague is just silly.

I'd be pretty surprised if it's not Kansas at this point. Sounds like Kansas and Virginia are the top two now, Michigan trying to make a late push.

The thing with those foreign guys you just have to hope they don't commit then just decide they are playing Pro in Europe instead right before they get over here. We just got a commit from a 7'1" guy from Greece and he's going to be over there all summer on their international team but he's got the Pro teams over there trying to sign him still.
