Quinn's only signed for this year, right?

Yep.

So the chances the next gm signs him probably aren't good, anyways.

great cant wait for pioli to give him a 3 year contract and have him be our starter while landry jones backs him up

No, though it's also appropriate to mention that that was Quinn's 16th start in the NFL. It isn't out of the realm of possibility that he could drastically improve with more playing time.

I definitely don't want them to go into next season with Quinn as the QBOTF but, depending on what he does over the next four weeks, he could end up being a quality back up and mentor to a 1st round QB.

You know, he really played well enough for the Chiefs to have beaten Denver too. That first drive was a thing of beauty until Dabol dicided to have Hillis become a QB.

I think this game should serve as a message to keep an eye on him. If he plays the next four games lights out, then maybe we actually have something. If he plays like he used to, then we know he's nothing more than a backup.

Also, Carolina played a really good game. Two shitty teams both had the stars align on the same day, but our stars were just a little brighter.

Well, that hasn't happened before.

No, not really.

The Panthers are awful.

I'm pretty sure Cassel would have had a good game too.

That's what he does against bad football teams.

Brodie Croyle would have had a good game too.

Crap, Cassel had one questionable good game in four years. He would have shit his pants just like he has in the other games. Carolina would have looked great, just like Tampa Bay did.

Cassel couldn't have stood in the pocket and waited for Moeaki to clear the coverage on that TD play. No way!

Rain Man 12-06-2012 02:18 PM

So the AFC player of the week career score so far is:

Cassel 2 (Both as a Patriot)
Quinn 1
Geno 0

Don't get too cocky, but enjoy it while you can. The Ostrich is going to break your heart, right after his neck.
