Wasn't too funny, too nervous that the boys weren't going to laugh. Very good though. Could have done without the duck nonsense.

Can't wait. Louis CK is the best comic in the business right now imo. I love "Louie" and I even loved "Lucky Louie" a lot too.

Anything that gets Pamela Adlon on TV without having to be the quirky son of a propane salesman [though she's great as Bobby, too] is fine by me.

Do you like music?

Yeah, I like all kinds.

Do you like Led Zeppelin?

I . . . don't . . .

Do you like Van Halen?

I don't know what you're . . .

You don't like them, or you don't know what I'm talking? . . .

I don't what you're talking about.

What about Aerosmith?

Whaaaa? . . .

Steven Tyler, he was in Aerosmith

Oh, yeah. He's a judge on American Idol.

So sad, so relatable.

Anyone watching this season?

The episodes have been pretty weird so far.

Yeah I'm watching. It's almost become a sad drama of a single 40 something year old man with kids.

Of course I'm watching. Last week's episode was one of the finest half-hours of television I've ever seen.

Yeah, I love the direction he has taken the show.

Not at all surprised that you liked it.

Yeah it is almost uncomfortable to watch. I liked last season but this season is strange. The best part of the show is the 1-2 minutes of stand-up at the beginning.

Not a compliment or insult, just an observation. From reading your posts over the years you seem to have a contrarian personality and enjoy episodes/shows that others dislike (like "Fly" in Breaking Bad).

I don't set out to be contrarian. It just so happens that the majority of people don't appreciate in art what I appreciate. "Fly" is a great example: it is chock-full of the things in which I most love about Breaking Bad, but it is almost entirely lacking in the things that I'd say most people who watch BB like about BB.

It's why most people don't care about movie reviews anymore. People feel disconnected with critics, and I suppose it is because critics care too much about the area in which they write criticism. It's more than entertainment to critics.

Louie is a perfect example. It doesn't get great ratings. People wish it was funnier, that it was more comedy-driven. But many critics think it's a top 3 show on TV.

They aren't trying to be contrarian. Their tastes no longer match the general public. Both approaches towards tv or film or etc. are totally valid, even if people from one approach hate people who take the other approach.
